As of April 1st, 2019, ICBC started to cover 12 preauthorized acupuncture treatments within 12 weeks of a car accident. This is great news because Acupuncture is wonderful for treating pain and injuries. This policy benefits all ICBC clients, especially for those who just suffer from minor injury in the car accident.
After reporting the ICBC claim online, the client can go to any acupuncture clinic for first 12 treatments without any referred by Family Doctor nor proved by ICBC adjustor. The Acupuncturist just needs client's claim number, accident date and care card number. The sooner get treatment, the better be recovery, regardless of who is responsible for the crash.
These new benefits are extremely great reformation in BC history, so tell friends, family members, and loved ones. These treatments can make the difference in recovery post car accident.
